Tubing at the Itchetuknee Springs Park

One of the things that you should do in your lifetime living in Florida is visit Itchetuknee Springs!

Summer time is the best time to go!

My friend invited me to go with her and her husband, and yes my adventurous spirit said yes!

Definitely go there early, the place can be packed. And they limit the number of visitors in a day.

The most popular activity in Itchetuknee is tubing. Bring your own tube / inflatables or rent from the vendors there.

Almost there...goodbye singleton soon!

A few more weeks, I am going to tie the knot! As in I am getting married!

I am getting married to the love of my life!

The preparations have started last year, more preparations still. And I am getting nervous, getting agitated, getting excited.

Still hard to believe, but this is it! I am getting married. I am happy and truly happy.

Praying for a lovely life ahead with my dearie!!!

I am pissed off!

I am pissed off because I am holding back a lot of my feelings and my thoughts.

I am pissed off because I can't just blurt out these bad words to someone because I don't want to hurt them, and I don't want them to feel bad about themselves and then them telling me the bad things about myself!

Someday, when I can't take it anymore, I am going to walk out. I am going to say those words you never imagined I could say.

I just don't want that day to happen. Because if it does, I will be sorry. They will be sorry.

Au Revoir 2016! Feliz ano nuevo 2017! Happy New Year!!!

2016 flew very fast...

It's a memorable year for me as I made a big move in my life, ie. moving to Florida, USA.
While the American culture is no alien to me and to most Filipinos having been colonized by the Americans for about 40+ years, I still experience culture shock.  It's different when one actually immerses in American culture.

I never expected I would be given this chance to work in the US. But I am very blessed that it happened.  Since my move was work-related, my airfare and relocation expenses were paid for. I moved to a friendly state, and the sunshine state at that. Not a huge adjustment to the weather! Sometimes it feels like back home, sweaty skin, scorching sun!

2016 also saw me learn how to drive, and actually drive!!! In most parts of the US, you really have to drive (unless you live in Chicago or New York).  While Uber and Lyft exist, still it is liberating to be able to drive yourself to the places you want to go, and even go farther...

2016 saw me and dearie being away for the longest time...we have been away from each other since May. But thanks to technology we get to communicate to each other most of the time. And...we are getting married in 2017!!!

2016 also saw me reunited with my mom, dad, and youngest sister. I visited them in California and we made a trip to Las Vegas.

2016 also saw me meeting my cousins in California, for the first time! They are such a lovely bunch! :) I am blessed to have them as my cousins.

2016 also saw me made new friends. Oh what does a new place mean anyway, it also means meeting new people and gaining new friends.

2016 also saw me travel to new places back home and in the US.

Au revoir 2016, it was good to have you! Thank you, Lord!

I look forward to the adventure that awaits me in 2017. A toast to new beginnings, cheers to a prosperous new year!

May God bless all of us with good health all throughout, more blessings, and more love, joy, peace, and contentment.
